It's a shame since Paul is one of the few people on here really pushing that discussion forward. It's also the kind of issue a bunch of activists can make real progress since the purse is controlled so locally.
In NY it's a fight that has to happen often at the state level and I fully support the stuff folks like you are doing.
My point is actually that we have a giant federally funded housing authority which most places have moved on from
Oh yea. I still think, even in NY, municipal-funded housing is worth pursuing. Are we in disagreement? Can you just say outright what you don't like about the discourse?
I don’t have a problem w the discourse. Just pointing out nycha is incredibly dependent on federal action. That puts the housing agency (residents and ny organizers) in a tricky political position bc most other PHAs aren’t in that situation.
